Realitech supported a large international broadcaster and streaming organisation in enabling Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI) across live, linear, and on-demand services, creating a scalable, cross-platform capability to monetise content through targeted digital advertising.

The Challenge

The broadcaster sought to strengthen its commercial proposition by replacing traditional ad breaks with targeted digital ads. This required complex change across the end-to-end supply chain—playout, transcoding, ad decisioning, stitching, and OTT devices—while ensuring a seamless user experience and effective monetisation

Our Approach

Realitech applied its Test-Driven Integration methodology to validate functionality incrementally and reduce risk. Working side-by-side with client teams and vendors, we coordinated delivery, provided deep technical consultancy, established monitoring and operational readiness, and built a Centre of Excellence for sustainable DAI deployment

Results

The project delivered a stable, multi-territory DAI solution supporting HLS and DASH, SDK-less mobile integration, and proactive monitoring frameworks. The broadcaster achieved up to 20% more ad inventory, improved targeting revenue, seamless viewer experience, faster rollouts, and stronger cross-team collaboration, proving the model at scale.
